I've just installed Windows R2 Enterprise on a couple of machines and was surprised to discover they are set to sleep after 30 minutes by default. I'm questioning why I would want my server to sleep. I created a policy to disable sleep mode, but it is not being applied to the first domain controller. The policy disabled sleep mode on the second DC, but the first one continues to go to sleep.

Expand Sleep, and then modify the sleep configuration settings as appropriate for your requirements. Improve this answer. John T John T k 25 25 gold badges silver badges bronze badges.
