If it was set to something else, you will need to restart your computer for the display changes to take effect. Yes: Congratulations, you can begin using ProScan on your vehicle! No: Continue to the next step. Are you receiving an error stating that the serial port could not be opened?
Yes: Make sure that no other application is currently using the serial port. If you have previously used any other serial device, there may be another application using the serial port. Exit any such applications or command them to quit using the serial port. Make sure that the interface is receiving power as indicated by its LEDs. Make sure that the cables and interface are securely fastened between the vehicle and your PC. This is typically baud, but it could be Are you receiving an error stating that the OBD-II interface module was detected and initialized, but communication with the vehicle could not be established?
The automatic protocol detection usually works, but it is not guaranteed. If you are using an ELMbased interface, you can also try bypassing initialization. Finally, after years of dedicated development, experimentation, and testing, I am ready to release ProScan! It has all of the features that you would expect in a scan tool plus many more.
Additionally, ProScan has advanced algorithms for collecting over twice as many data points as the nearest competitor! ProScan even allows you to tweak the internal timing to get the absolute maximum bandwidth for each vehicle you analyze. And if you frequently analyze multiple vehicles, you'll love the Vehicle Profile Manger built into ProScan! Quality, Dependability, and Usability are the three metrics that ProScan was designed from the ground up to excel in.
I have tons of great ideas for ProScan, and I will continue to implement them as quickly as possible. And I welcome all of you to send me your requests. I will work with you to implement the features that you desire. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you and to produce the world's most cost-effective and leading-edge automotive analysis tool! If you send me one for free I'll write a review on it and se if it works with my cars.
I do go to an engineering school. Well, I can't send you one for free You can play around with the interface, but you won't be able to connect to a vehicle without the hardware and a valid serial number.
I want something that is compatible with any vehicle. Maybe you need to develop a machine that is similar to SnapOn Scanner and I'll probly buy one. I need it for my school project.
Looks like your machine is just one of those mickey mouse obd2 scanner. LOL ProScan is designed as a cost-effective solution for do-it-yourself mechanics. If you're rich and enjoy throwing money away, then yeah, go ahead and pay a few thousand dollars for a Snap On. If you're a regular guy looking for the most bang for the buck The product and support are unbeatable for the price you'll pay A couple of comments.
Why not incorporate all the current communication protocols into the hardware and firmware? What about CAN protocol? We now have an all-in-one kit available.
We have not recived any reply to our several requests for a serial number, how acquire one.
