Book your Gen3 Karaoke System now. Not all soundbars are made the same. Most are made for TV speaker replacement. AC Ryan Karaoke created a soundbar that not only replaces your TV speaker, but does karaoke fitting for any karaoke lovers. Carefully pre-tuned by our audio engineers so users can have the best home karaoke experience.
Gone are the days where you needed bulky amplifiers, wall-mounted speakers, equalizer and mixer pieces to get the real deal. Time for something new. We've been through hundreds of hours of deliberation and research, with the intention to create the best karaoke system any soundbar can offer. However, some are now taking Android and building it into other electronic gizmos.
One such company is A. Ryan itself, which sells the Veolo — a gently-domed wedge containing an Android-based media player. But as an Android device, it can do so much more than play video clips, music or photos. For a start, you get access to the Android Marketplace since renamed to the less descriptive Google Play.
This gives you the opportunity to run your choice of apps — hundreds of which are available. Android smartphone users will already by aware of the flexibility this brings — there are apps for many different applications, most of which are free.
In other words, most modern websites can be accessed. It also sports a rather rubbery keyboard for text entry, in addition to a few token normal buttons, such as a joypad and standby key. I went for the Ethernet option — more reliable for streaming HD video — but had no luck getting the Veolo to access my shared SMB network drives. It was the only player of the grouptest to give me such grief, and not even the patient techie at A. Ryan could resolve the problem. The is no "convention" for heat desipation.
If the heat test is done in Chanllenger, I guess the box should state runs cools in air-con places. As for the remote, If the is to be used within 2M? Sad excuse. Who sit 2m from TV unless the TV is like 29inch?
There is still no way to off the box wihtou pulling out the power. This is a very disappointing as compare to the Playon series which AC Ryan is known for. Razerzone said:. I did turn on the set to use for more than 10 hrs over weekend. Click to expand All the places where your demo units is left on seems to have air-con on all the time But my question is The power button only put the display to sleep. There is no option like what is in the manual to select to switch off the Veolo3.
Also the receiption of the remote is very questionable. Please also advice why the keyboard only works at times? Alot of times, it cannot work and I have to use the on screen keyboard. I connect a USB Keyboard ACeRyan said:. We are pretty confident that the Rockchip RK chipset being a Quad-Core processor doesn't really run hot even for extended hours. If it does, we would already be hearing similar feedback from our users, and the demo unit running during store's hours at Challenger Funan and Classic Concept, Mediapro in SLS are pretty cool according to our dealers.
Alternatively, you can also drop by our office to check out our demo unit if you really think it is hot. The demo units at the stores are there for you to see and feel Vent holes definitely not required But of course if anybody really think their unit is overly warm to their own comfort and relate that it is hot, do bring it down to our office for us to check and verify.
I did not in any way claimed on behalf of ACRyan that the remote is to use within 2m. I have tested the remote with MX Player which able to stream movies from my NAS wired or wireless as well as able to type and navigate via the remote without issue. And, I do not encountered 'heat' issue with both units of veolo2 that I owned at home be it in a air con or non air con environment. Last edited: Jun 23, Inuyashatan Member.

That is correct but they are based on the chipset from realtek with a mhz processor and android sits 'on top' of the Realtek sdk and to be honest is not powerfull enough to run an android os. You will see those differences when running apps and games such as fruit ninja which is pretty laggy on those. I also do not think those players will ever get any android updates and the GUIs are standard factory design.
There is basically no own input. But that's just my 2 cents Cheers! Sorry for the misunderstanding but this topic was about veolo and I just stated that i am not aware of any android app that supports iso playback. Of course those Realtek players can do that as you correctly noticed but they cannot play it out of the android part Cheers,. Just for your information guys.
A new firmware has been released including the android market amongst other fixes. Or is there an Android app which does? There are one or two jukeboxes but they will need Android 4. The best thing AC Ryan could do is build an unofficial Plex client of which there are a few already , the Android 2. You could have it running on the existing Android 2.
